What You Need to Know

The manufacturer’s warranty may last more than two years. In such cases, Photofury covers this additional period concurrently, but this might be a coverage you are entitled to for free under the manufacturer’s warranty. Check the duration and terms of the manufacturer’s warranty.

THIS INSURANCE PROVIDES ADDITIONAL COVERAGE TO THE LEGAL WARRANTY OF CONFORMITY FOR CONSUMER GOODS ESTABLISHED BY EU DIRECTIVE 1999/44/EC AND DOES NOT IN ANY WAY AFFECT THE RIGHTS RECOGNIZED TO THE CONSUMER BY NATIONAL LEGISLATION TRANSPOSING THAT DIRECTIVE. IF YOU ARE A CONSUMER, THE LEGAL WARRANTY OF CONFORMITY FOR CONSUMER GOODS (WHICH DOES NOT COVER DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ACCIDENTS) IS PROVIDED TO YOU FOR FREE BY LAW AND MEANS THAT YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO FREE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT THAT DOES NOT COMPLY WITH THE SALES CONTRACT WITHIN 24 MONTHS FOLLOWING THE DELIVERY OF THE PRODUCT.

The Policy Excludes:

• Accidental damage, malicious damage, or intentional damage;
• Loss of the product;
• Theft or robbery;
• Consumable items, such as batteries and bulbs (which you can replace yourself);
• Contents of the product, such as data, photos, and software;
• Improper use: for example, if your product is designed for domestic use but is used in a commercial/professional environment, or the use does not correspond to the purpose of the product according to the instruction manual/specification sheet;
• Cosmetic damages that do not affect the functioning of the product (e.g., scratches or dents).

Delivery of Documentation by Email:

We will send your policy documentation by email within 24/48 hours of purchase. Remember to check your spam folder if you do not receive it. If you also wish to receive a paper copy of your policy documents by postal mail, it can be sent at the policyholder's expense.

Important Information:

• Breakdown coverage begins at the end of the seller’s one-year warranty.
• This insurance is additional to the manufacturer’s warranty where applicable and does not affect your rights against the manufacturer. Check the product information to see if the manufacturer offers a commercial warranty on your product and for more information about it.
• This insurance covers a new product.
• This coverage is optional, meaning the product could also be covered by other insurances, such as home insurance.
• It must be purchased within 30 days of buying the insured product and does not cover refurbished, used, or second-hand products.
• This insurance does not affect your statutory rights.
• This policy is limited to goods purchased by residents in Spain. You must be over 18 years old to purchase this insurance.
