26.1MP APS-C Camera with 7-Stop Stabilisation and a Deep Grip
Overview
The FUJIFILM X-S20 takes the well-proven 26.1MP X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor, puts the current X-Processor 5 behind it and wraps both in the one X-series body with a proper DSLR-style grip. Five-axis stabilisation worth 7 stops and a vari-angle screen make it the practical choice for someone shooting stills and video with the same camera.
Key features
Sensor and processing
- 26.1MP X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor: 23.5 x 15.6 mm APS-C, whose non-regular colour filter array controls moiré without a low-pass filter.
- X-Processor 5: current-generation processing, with deep-learning subject detection.
- ISO 160-12800 standard.
Stabilisation and handling
- 5-axis in-body stabilisation, 7.0 stops: unusual at this size, and the reason hand-held video holds together.
- Deep grip: the X-S line is the one X-series body shaped for a full hand rather than a rangefinder hold.
- 3.0in vari-angle touchscreen: it faces forward for pieces to camera.
Speed and viewing
- Up to 30fps with the electronic shutter (1.25x crop), with a 407-frame JPEG buffer.
- 0.39in OLED viewfinder, 2.36 million dots.
Colour
- 19 Film Simulation modes, including ETERNA for video and the ACROS family for black and white.

What it is good for
- Video and creators: stabilisation, a screen that faces you and a grip you can hold one-handed.
- Travel: under 500 g with the battery in, and a battery that lasts because the body has room for a bigger one.
- Everyday stills: 26.1MP is plenty, and the grip makes long lenses comfortable.
