Ultra-Wide Power Zoom for Sony APS-C E-Mount
Overview
The Sony E PZ 10-20mm F4 G is an ultra-wide power zoom for APS-C that weighs 178 g. At 10mm it gives a 109° angle of view, which is wide enough to hold a whole room, or your own face at arm's length with the background still in shot.
Key features
Very wide, very small
- 10-20mm, equivalent to 15-30mm: a genuine ultra-wide on APS-C.
- 109° to 70° angle of view, which is the difference between showing a room and showing a corner of it.
- 178 g: light enough that a gimbal barely notices it.
Built for video
- Powered zoom: smooth, repeatable zoom moves, and it can be driven from the camera body or remotely.
- Constant F4 through the range, so exposure holds while you zoom.
- Internal zoom and focus: the lens does not change length, so the balance of a gimbal stays where you set it.
Close focus
- 0.20 m in autofocus, and down to 0.13 m at the wide end in manual focus: you can put the camera almost on top of a subject and keep the context.
- 7-blade circular aperture and a 62 mm filter thread.
